One of the inquiry’s proposals is to create an analysis and evaluation authority with responsibility for system oversight and efficiency review of the labour market, social insurance and migration areas by merging the activities of The Swedish Unemployment Insurance Inspectorate (IAF), The Swedish Social Insurance Inspectorate (ISF) and The Migration Studies Delegation (Delmi). The merge is proposed to materialize by transferring the IAF's current tasks and activities in their entirety and incorporating them into the ISF, thereby decommissioning IAF as an authority. Similarly, Delmi's tasks are proposed to be transferred to the ISF and the committee's tasks will cease. The new ISF is proposed to have its seat in Stockholm, with the possibility of operations in Gothenburg.

At the Secretariat of Delmi, we are now analysing the inquiry’s proposals. It is the Committee that will consider Delmi's views on the proposal. The Committee will discuss the issue at its next meeting on February 26.
