The Study aims to empirically investigate if potential migrants tend to be healthier than non-migrants, the so-called healthy migrant effect. It uses Gallup World Poll data  and investigate migration both within countries (from rural areas to cities) as well as international migration, with a special focus on aspirations regarding migration from non-EU countries to EU countries.

Mikael Elinder, Associate Professor of Economics, and Oscar Erixson, Associate Professor of Economics, are the authors of the report.
