As with the previous AMIF-funded project on return and reintegration, this is a fantastic opportunity for Delmi to conduct research and promote network building in order to share knowledge and contribute to change and improvement within the area of return and reintegration. The theme of the new project is how different diplomatic tools work nationally and at the EU level to facilitate sustainable return of third country nationals.
Three areas will be examined: a) The role and function of the foreign authorities in return/readmission, b) Return, a Nordic comparison, c) The EU's role in return in relation to Swedish authorities.
The goal is to contribute to better knowledge of how different diplomatic tools can be used to promote effective return and reintegration. It is also our ambition that knowledge from the project will contribute to capacity building within Swedish as well as EU authorities. Through active network building, we hope to be able to benefit from the knowledge and experiences of various actors active in the field of return.
Right now, Delmi is doing the preparatory work to have the project up and running on February 1. Please keep an eye on our website, which will be updated continuously as activities within the project are planned and launched.
