Help Ukraine Gothenburg (HUG) is a non-profit organization committed to providing urgent aid, mental health support, and integration initiatives that foster well-being and empower Ukrainians to rebuild their lives for a sustainable future. This Policy Brief is based on HUG’s findings regarding their Better & Me project, in which they conducted a comprehensive theoretical analysis of mental health issues faced by Ukrainian temporary protection holders living in Sweden.
This Policy Brief will focus on the critical role of mental health in the integration process (especially in the context of the labour market) and the unique challenges faced by Ukrainian temporary protection holders in Sweden.
The authors of the Policy Brief are two mental health and coaching counsellors at HUG: Viktoriia Svidovska, PhD in Theory and Methods of Vocational Training, and Yaroslava Shven, Associate Professor and PhD in Psychology.
