Joseph Trawicki Anderson presentes research on how the EU, in response to growing concerns over migration across the Mediterranean from North Africa, has sought to manage migration to Europe through various development and security interventions in Africa.
The seminar examined the outsourcing of migration management to external actors and the challenges and opportunities that arise when economic development and migration control are intertwined. The event provided a platform for researchers and practitioners to exchange insights and discuss the future of EU migration policy as the EUTF nears its conclusion in 2025.
The seminar was conducted in English.

In addition to strengthening research in this area, the program aims to make the research accessible outside the academic community.
Delmi Policy Brief 2024:15, which summarizes the most important policy-relevant conclusions from the project, is available from November 13, 2024, digitally for download via the Delmi website and for order (free of charge).
